It always starts with the statistics variable which is the main value counted in the table.

Total of common children by divorce. Until 2000, information on the number of children was collected from divorce notifications from the Central Population Register. From 2001 this information was collected from separate data about parents/children relations from the Central Population Register. For the period 2001-2007 are common children who has died or emigrated before divorce included.
