Quantity of crude oil is only given in tonnes for the years before 1988.

All exports of Norwegian crude oil that are transported by pipeline to Teeside and Sullom Voe are registered in the official statistics with the UK as the country of destination. After this unstabilised crude oil has gone through a fractionation process, where it is separated into the components of stabilised crude oil, ethane, propane and butane, it is shipped onwards, thus giving a new country distribution. The fractionation process implies that some of the crude oil disappeares, thereby different total figures. Shipments of crude oil do only have data from 2007 on in the Statbank.
