³	1 January 1977, 1814 Brønnøy was divided up into the municipalities 1812 Sømna and 1813 Brønnøy. The area of Hongsetbygda, which was a part of Sømna before 1964, was transferred to 1813 Brønnøy. In the population census of 1960, 1970 and 1980 the population of Hongsetbygda was 51, 31 and 30 persons.
