Trade with North America increases


Trade with North America surged in the first two months of this year compared to the same period last year. Imports rose by NOK 890 million, or 34 percent, accounting for more than a tenth of Norway's combined imports of traditional goods. Exports to North America climbed 22 percent, and now make up 8.3 percent of Norway's traditional exports.

Norway's largest trading partner in North America is the United States. Canada showed the biggest gain, measured in percent.
