Industrial enterprises had a combined turnover of NOK 63,407 million in the 5th period, up from NOK 56,215 million in the 4th period. The upturn is primarily attributable to lower production and sales activities in the 4th period, when summer holidays are taken.
Industrial sales in the 5th period increased by 2.8 percent compared to the same period last year. Sales grew at a clearly slower pace than in the preceding periods, which saw growth rates of 12.6 and 9.6 percent in respectively the 3rd and 4th periods. In some industries, sales in the 5th period were lower than one year ago.
