The increase was particularly strong in Oslo, Vest-Agder and Rogaland counties, with other counties noting small changes. Business is still increasing the most at hotels in cities, which reported a 10 per cent jump in bookings. Country hotels and tourist and mountain resort hotels saw increases of five and six per cent, respectively.
Reservations at Norwegian hotels increased by eight per cent in October this year, compared to the same month last year. The October tally was 1.01 million bookings, compared to 934,000 one year previously. There was an eight per cent rise in Norwegian guests and seven per cent increase in overseas guests.
