So far this year NOK 33.6 billion has been paid in petroleum taxes. In monetary terms this is an increase of NOK 12.7 billion compared to the same period last year. Growth in oil taxes accounts for nearly 41 per cent of the NOK 31 billion overall growth in tax revenues.
Tax revenues in Norway totalled NOK 270 billion from January to November. This is an increase of 13.1 per cent or NOK 31.2 billion compared to the same period last year. Local governments receive NOK 80 billion of this amount.
Distributed by counties, excluding the continental shelf, tax revenues have grown by NOK 236 billion so far this year, an increase of NOK 18.3 billion compared to the same period last year. Oslo and Akershus have had the largest growth in taxes, with 12 and 10.7 per cent, respectively. Telemark had the lowest growth in taxes, with 2.2 per cent.
Local governments have taken in NOK 79.9 billion in tax revenues, up nearly NOK 4.3 billion. The growth in taxes breaks down to about NOK 3.3 billion for the primary municipalities and NOK 1 billion for counties.
