New series on current education statistics

On 27 March, Statistics Norway will unveil a completely new series of publications on education. The series contains a broad spectrum of statistics on pupils, students and teachers in Norway and key figures for the education sector.

An ever-increasing number of Norwegians are continuing their education beyond the compulsory 10-year basic school, and through this new series of publications, Aktuell utdanningsstatistikk, Statistics Norway wishes to increase the availability and timeliness of this type of statistics.

Aktuell utdanningsstatistikk is a collaboration between Statistics Norway and the Ministry of Education, Research and Church Affairs and both contribute data to the publications. In addition to producing the statistics, Statistics Norway has the editorial responsibility for the publications. Aktuell utdanningsstatistikk will be published 8-10 times per year.
