Norwegian for adult immigrants is an important qualification effort, which is a part of the Introduction Act of Norway from 2003. The municipalities in Norway have to offer Norwegian lessons for all adult immigrants with a right to the arrangement. From 2012, the arrangement consists of 550 hours of Norwegian lessons and 50 hours in social studies.
