Attachment to the labour market is defined here as a combination of different statuses, such as ‘100% unemployed jobseekers’ and ‘in work’. The attachment to the labour market is measured using four categories to describe the different positions on the labour market:
1. strong position - in work/not jobseeker
2. less strong position - in work/jobseeker
3. medium position - not in work/jobseeker
4. weak position - not in work/not jobseeker
