Few stoppages

In 2011, there were two stoppages and 500 working days lost. In comparison, there were 180 days lost during the previous mid-term settlement in 2009.

In a mid-term settlement, the agreements from the last main settlement are revised. During the main settlement in 2010, there were 500 000 working days lost due to stoppages.

About the statistical basis

The statistics cover labour disputes and lock-outs of at least one day's duration. The questionnaires were collected from the employers’ organisations and employees’ organisations.
