Average monthly earnings in construction up NOK 1 200
Full-time employees in construction had average monthly earnings of NOK 38 400 as per 1 October 2013. This was a year-on-year increase of NOK 1 200, or 3.2 per cent.

Craft workers
Craft workers - the largest group of employees in construction, had average monthly earnings of NOK 35 100. This represents a year-on-year increase of NOK 1 100 or 3.2 per cent. Craft workers include numerous craft working professions. Among these working professions we find electricians, with average monthly earnings of NOK 35 800, which gives a year-on-year increase of NOK 1 400 or 4.1 per cent. In contrast, another craft working profession, woodworkers and cabinet-makers, had average monthly earnings of NOK 32 900. This corresponds to a year-on-year increase of NOK 700 or 2.2 per cent.
Professionals and technicians and associate professionals
Professionals and technicians and associate professionals had average monthly earnings of NOK 55 800 and NOK 47 900 respectively. For professionals, this corresponds to a year-on-year increase of NOK 2 800, for the technicians and associates this represents a year-on-year increase of NOK 2 000.
Senior officials and managers
Senior officials and managers’ average monthly earnings increased from NOK 58 200 as per 1 October 2012 to NOK 60 300 as per 1 October 2013. This is an increase of 3.6 per cent.

The statistics are based on information from a sample of construction enterprises covering a total of 68 366 full-time employees and 3 693 part-time employees. The total number of employees in construction that forms the basis for weighting is 193 000, according to the Norwegian Central Register of Enterprises and Establishments.

Additional information
Structural changes within the division along with the outcome of collective bargaining would have a certain effect on the wage increase being measured.
