Monthly earnings up NOK 1 100 in manufacturing
Full-time employees in manufacturing had average monthly earnings of NOK 42 500 as per 1 October 2014, excluding overtime pay. This is a year-on-year increase of NOK 1 100 or 2.7 per cent.

Average basic salary increased from NOK 39 100 as per 1 October 2013 to NOK 40 300 as per 1 October 2014. This represents an increase of 3.1 per cent.
Operators and drivers constitute 30 per cent of all the full-time employees in manufacturing. Average monthly earnings for operators were NOK 34 400, which corresponds to a year-on-year increase of NOK 900 or 2.7 per cent.

The statistics are based on information from a sample of enterprises covering a total of 133 071 full-time employees and 12 093 part-time employees. The total number of employees that forms the basis for weighting is 232 600 in manufacturing, according to the Norwegian Central Register of Enterprises and Establishments.
Structural changes within the division along with the outcome of collective bargaining would have a certain effect on the wage increase being measured.
