Wages increased by 4 per cent in electricity supply
The average monthly earnings for full-time employees in electricity supply were NOK 33 100 per 1 October 2005. This was a NOK 1 300 or 4 per cent increase from October 2004.
The average for males was up NOK 1 100 or 3.5 per cent from the previous year, while females increased their monthly wages with NOK 1 800 or 6.3 per cent.
Occupational groups
Senior officials and managers experienced the highest increase in monthly earnings with NOK 2 900.
Craft workers received on average NOK 1 100 more per month, while operators and drivers were up NOK 1 700 from 2004.
About the statistical basis
The statistics are based on a sample of enterprises with 9 282 full-time employees. According to preliminary figures from the national accounts for the third quarter of 2005, the statistics cover approximately 13 400 employees in the electricity supply sector.

Additional information
The wage statistics have the same reference date each year; 1 October, regardless of when the results from the wage settlements apply.
Structural changes within the division along with the outcome of collective bargaining would have a certain effect on the wage increase being measured.
