Wages increased by NOK 1 400
Average monthly earnings for full-time employees in electricity supply were NOK 34 500 per 1 October 2006. This was an increase of NOK 1 400 or 4.3 per cent from October 2005.
Average monthly earnings for males employed in electricity supply were NOK 35 200, while females had monthly earnings of NOK 31 800. This was an increase of 5.0 per cent for males and 3.7 per cent for females.
Technicians and associate professionals working full-time had monthly earnings of NOK 34 500, an increase of NOK 1 400 or 4.2 per cent. Craft workers had in comparison monthly earnings of NOK 28 200. This was an increase of NOK 1 200 or 4.5 per cent.
About the statistical basisThe statistics are based on a sample of enterprises with 9 389 full-time employees. According to preliminary figures from the national accounts for the third quarter of 2006, the statistics cover approximately 12 300 employees in the electricity supply sector. |

Additional information
The wage statistics have the same reference date each year; 1 October, regardless of when the results from the wage settlements apply.
Structural changes within the division along with the outcome of collective bargaining would have a certain effect on the wage increase being measured.
