Wage increase of NOK 3 000
Average monthly earnings for full-time employees in electricity supply were NOK 49 900 as of October 2013. This was a year-on-year increase of NOK 3 000, or 6.4 per cent.

Electrical engineering technicians and electrical line installers
About one in five working in electricity supply are electrical line installers; skilled workers who build and maintain power lines and power plants. Average monthly earnings for this group were NOK 39 300, up 4.8 per cent. Electrical engineering technicians are university college graduates, and constitute a sizeable proportion of the workforce in electricity supply. Earnings for this group were NOK 50 900, which was an increase of NOK 2 500.
Professionals and managers
Most of the professionals in this industry are civil engineers, and they earned NOK 61 000 in 2013, which was an increase of NOK 4 500. Managers had average earnings of NOK 76 800, a year-on-year growth of NOK 3 200, or 4.3 per cent

The statistics are based on information from a sample of enterprises in the main industry of electricity supply, covering a total of 9 753 full-time employees and 725 part-time employees. According to the Norwegian Central Register of Enterprises and Establishments, the statistics cover approximately 14 600 employees as of October 2013.
Structural changes within the division along with the outcome of collective bargaining would have a certain effect on the wage increase being measured.

The wage statistics have the same reference date each year; 1 October, regardless of when the results from the wage settlements apply.
