Wage increase of NOK 1 700
Average monthly earnings for full-time employees in electricity supply were NOK 51 600 as of October 2014. This was a year-on-year increase of NOK 1 700, or 3.4 per cent.

Electrical engineering technicians are university college graduates, and constitute a sizeable proportion of the workforce in electricity supply. Average monthly earnings for full-time electrical engineering technicians were NOK 52 600; an increase of NOK 1 700 from October 2013.
Another considerable proportion of the workforce in electricity supply is electrical line installers, who are skilled workers that build and maintain power lines and power plants. Average monthly earnings for full-time employees of this group were NOK 40 000, up 1.8 per cent from October 2013.

The statistics are based on information from a sample of enterprises in the main industry of electricity supply, covering a total of 9 918 full-time employees and 783 part-time employees. According to the Norwegian Central Register of Enterprises and Establishments, the statistics cover approximately 15 700 employees as of October 2014.

Additional information
The wage statistics have the same reference date each year; 1 October, regardless of when the results from the wage settlements apply.
Structural changes within the division along with the outcome of collective bargaining would have a certain effect on the wage increase being measured.
