Monthly earnings up NOK 1 100
Full-time employees in private education had average monthly earnings of NOK 40 500 as of October 2013. This was a year-on-year increase of NOK 1 100, or 2.8 per cent.

Private education includes primary and secondary schools, upper secondary schools, university colleges, and other forms of education such as labour market courses, non-degree granting colleges, adult education and driving schools.
Average monthly earnings for full-time employees in private primary schools were NOK 36 200, up NOK 900. For employees in private upper secondary schools, the development was NOK 41 400,
up NOK 1 100. Earnings for full-time employees in private university colleges were NOK 45 700, and full-time earnings in other education were NOK 40 100. The increase from October 2012 was NOK 1 200 for both of these.
Teaching staff
Earnings for the professionals, where we find sixth form teachers and schoolmasters, were NOK 43 500, up NOK 900, or 2.1 per cent.
Teachers and other assistant professionals had average monthly earnings of NOK 38 100. This was a year-on-year increase of NOK 1 500, or 4.1 per cent.

The statistics are based on information from a sample of enterprises in private education, covering a total of 7 503 full-time employees and 4 364 part-time employees. The total number of employees that forms the basis for weighting is 20 500, according to the Norwegian Central Register of Enterprises and Establishments.

Additional information
Structural changes within the division along with the outcome of collective bargaining would have a certain effect on the wage increase being measured.
