Immigrants and Norwegian-born to Immigrant Parents at the beginning of 2021

The five largest country groups in Norway are immigrants from Poland, Lithuania, Sweden, Syria and Somalia. There are 102,000 immigrants in Norway with a Polish country background. Table 09817 shows an overview of immigrants in Norway by country background and their percentage of total population, while table 07110 shows the number of immigrants by world region.

There were 197 900 Norwegian-born to Immigrant Parents in Norway at the beginning of 2021. This is 9 100 more than in the beginning of 2020. Table 09817 shows Norwegian-born with Immigrant Parents by country background and their percentage of the total population.

The five largest countries if we look at both immigrants and Norwegian-born with Immigrant Parents are Poland, Lithuania, Somalia, Pakistan and Sweden.
