A wide-ranging and readily comprehensible picture of life and society on Svalbard. Statistics Norway has previously published four editions of Svalbard Statistics in the Official Statistics of Norway series.
Statistics from many different sources have been used in order to present a full picture of life in the archipelago. As of 1.1.2007, the Norwegian Statistics Act applies to Svalbard, and in the years ahead, Statistics Norway will accordingly be publishing more statistics relating to Svalbard.
