7.1 per cent turnover growth
Turnover in the construction industry increased by 7.1 per cent the 5th period (September and October) of 2002 compared with the 5th period of 2001.
The total construction turnover for the 5th period of 2002 was NOK 28.8 billion. Growth in renting of construction or demolition equipment with operator and building of complete constructions or parts thereof; civil engineering was 16.0 and 10.3 per cent, or NOK 57 and 1 631 million respectively, in this period.
All turnover in this connection excludes VAT.
January-October 2002
In the period of January till October 2002 the turnover of constructions companies went up by 6.2 per cent or NOK 7 billion compared with the same period in 2001. Establishment in renting of construction or demolition equipment with operator increased by 10.5 per cent.
Biggest increase in Vest-Agder
The turnover of construction companies in Vest-Agder went up by NOK 136 million or 13.4 per cent the 5th period of 2002 compared with the 5th period of 2001. The turnover of construction companies in Sør-Trøndelag and Østfold also went up, by NOK 217 and 184 million, or 12.8 and 11.8 per cent respectively.
Turnover of construction companies in Rogaland increased by 14.0 per cent in the period of January till October 2002 compared with the same period in 2001.
