5.3 per cent growth in construction

Turnover in the construction industry increased by NOK 2.4 billon, or 5.3 per cent, in the period January to April 2004 compared with the same period in 2003.

The total construction turnover for the first four months of 2004 was NOK 48.7 billion. The group "site preparation" had the strongest growth in turnover, at 16.4 per cent.

All figures are exclusive of VAT.
