Slowdown of growth in construction

Turnover in the construction industry increased by NOK 2.9 billion, or 7.2 per cent, in the period July-August 2008, compared with the corresponding period in 2007.

The total construction turnover for the first eight months of 2008 was NOK 190 billion. The group renting of construction or demolition equipment with an operator increased the most in turnover in this period (by 23.7 per cent) compared with the same period in 2007.
