12 per cent turnover decline in construction

Turnover in the construction industry went down by 11.6 per cent in the 5th period (September and October) of 2009 compared with the 5th period of 2008.

The total construction turnover for the 5th period of 2009 was NOK 52 billion; a decline of NOK 6.8 billion compared with the corresponding period of 2008.

The total construction turnover for the first 10 months of 2009 was NOK 220.5 billion; an increase of NOK 30 billion or 12.0 per cent compared to the year before.

All turnover in this connection excludes VAT.
