Turnover decline in construction
Turnover in the construction industry went down by 9.5 per cent in January and February this year compared with the same period last year.
The total construction turnover for the first period of 2010 was NOK 34.9 billion; a decrease of NOK 3.7 billion compared to the same period last year. The decline applies to all sectors of the construction industry.
Largest decline in Austagder and Hedmark
The local KAUs in Austagder and Hedmark had the largest decline in turnover by 23.9 per cent and 17.3 per cent respectively, compared to the same period in 2009. Conversely, the local KAUs in Nord-Trøndelag experienced an increase in turnover of 2.5 per cent in this period. Nord-Trøndelag was the only county to experience an increase.
