Turnover growth in construction

Turnover in the construction industry was 2.2 per cent higher in May and June this year compared with the same period last year.

The total construction turnover for the third period of 2010 was NOK 48.6 billion; an increase of NOK 1.0 billion compared with the same period last year.

Largest increase in Oppland and Nord-Trøndelag

The local KAUs in Oppland and Nord-Trøndelag had the largest increase in turnover; 15.7 per cent and 13.1 per cent respectively compared to the same period in 2009. The local KAUs in Aust-Agder had a decrease of 22.1 per cent.

The turnover for the first six months of 2010 was NOK 125.5 billion. In 2009 the turnover was NOK 129.2 billion; a decrease of 2.8 per cent.
