Stable growth in construction turnover
During the first six months of 2014, turnover in the construction industry has shown an increase of 7.1 per cent from the first half of 2013; an increase of just below NOK 11.7 billion and a total turnover of NOK 177.5 billion.

The highest turnover in the 3rd period of 2014 was in construction of residential and non-residential buildings, with NOK 26.7 billion. With an increase of 5.4 per cent from the 3rd period of 2013, growth remains at the same level as in the previous periods.
The greatest percentage increase at group level is found within demolition and site preparation. With an increase of 17.2 per cent compared to the first half of 2013, turnover for the first six months of 2014 was NOK 21.6 billion. Turnover in the 3rd period of 2014 had an increase of 15.0 per cent compared to the same period in 2013.
The lowest percentage increase is found within building completion and finishing . The growth in the 3rd period of 2014 was 3.2 per cent, while the first six months of 2014 shows an increase of 2.2 per cent compared to the same period in 2013.
The county with the highest turnover is Oslo, with NOK 12.1 billion in the 3rd period. This represents an increase of 7.6 per cent from the same period in 2013. The largest percentage change in construction was in Troms, with an increase of 13.2 per cent from the 3rd period of 2013, which corresponds to a turnover of just below NOK 1.7 billion and an increase of NOK 196 million. The decline among the local kind-of-activity units in Telemark continues from the previous two periods, with a decline of 4.4 per cent compared to the 3rd period of 2013.
