Weaker growth in construction turnover

The turnover in the construction industry in the 4th period of 2014 has shown an increase of 1.5 per cent from the same period in 2013. This is a weaker growth than the previous periods.

With an increase in turnover of NOK 96 million and a total turnover of NOK 21.8 billion, the local kind-of-activity units in the group construction of residential and non-residential buildings had a growth of 0.4 per cent in the 4th period in 2014 compared to the 4th period in 2013. In the same period, the local kind-of-activity units in the divisions civil engineering and specialised construction activities showed a growth of 3.8 and 1.7 per cent respectively.

At county level, the greatest growth in the 4th period in 2014 compared to the 4th period in 2013 was found within the local kind-of-activity units in Troms, which had an increase in turnover of 15.6 per cent. In the same period, the greatest decrease was in Telemark, with a decline of 6.6 per cent.
