Continued growth in construction

The turnover in the construction industry was NOK 64.1 billion in the 2nd period of 2015. This corresponds to a growth of NOK 4.3 billion or 7.2 per cent compared to the same period in 2014.

The total turnover in construction of buildings was NOK 26.1 billion in the 2nd period of 2015 and corresponds to an increase of NOK 2.0 billion, or 8.4 per cent, compared to the 2nd period of 2014.

There was an increase of 8.9 per cent within civil engineering from the 2nd period of 2014 to the 2nd period of 2015. The turnover was NOK 7.5 billion and increased by NOK 614 million compared to the same period in 2014.

In the division “Specialised construction activities”, there was an increase of 5.8 per cent in the 2nd period of 2015 compared to the same period in the year before. The turnover was NOK 30.5 billion and increased by NOK 1.7 billion. In the same period, the turnover in the subclass “Electrical installation” was NOK 7.0 billion and increased by NOK 53 million. This represents a growth of 0.8 per cent.

The highest growth in turnover was found in Akershus and Finnmark with a growth of 20.3 and 23.3 per cent respectively compared with the 2nd period of 2014. The local kind-of-activity units in Vestfold and Aust-Agder had a decrease in turnover of 0.7 and 1.1 per cent.
