Decline in construction industry in Rogaland in 2015
The local kind-of-activity units in the construction industry in Rogaland had a decline of 2.6 per cent in 2015, while the overall growth in construction in Norway was 4.0 per cent.

The turnover in the construction industry increased by 4.8 per cent in the 6th period in 2015 compared to the same period the previous year, and totalled NOK 82.6 billion.
Decline in Rogaland
The local kind-of-activity units in Rogaland had a reduction in turnover in 2015. The first decline was observed in the 3rd period with a decrease of 2.6 per cent. This was followed by a reduction of 2.8 per cent in the 4th period, 8.9 per cent in the 5th period and 4.4 per cent in the 6th period, compared with the corresponding periods in 2014. This development indicates an overall decline of 2.6 per cent in Rogaland from 2014 to 2015.
Continued growth – but lower
The total turnover in the construction industry was NOK 410.1 billion in 2015, representing an increase of 4.0 per cent in 2014. Thus, the growth rate in the industry has slowed. By comparison, the growth from 2012 to 2013 was 6.3 per cent, compared to 6.8 per cent from 2013 to 2014.
The turnover in construction of buildings was NOK 32.1 billion in the 6th period of 2015. This corresponds to a growth of 6.1 per cent compared to the 6th period of 2014. The turnover in 2015 was NOK 160.8 billion, which represents an increase of 5.5 per cent from the previous year.
The turnover among the local kind-of-activity units in civil engineering was NOK 10.9 billion in the 6th period of 2015 and rose by 7.7 per cent compared with the same period in 2014. The total turnover in 2015 was NOK 55.5 billion. This corresponds to an increase of 6.5 per cent from 2014.
The turnover in specialised construction activities was NOK 39.7 billion in the 6th period of 2015. Compared to the 6th period of 2014 this corresponds to an increase of 2.9 per cent. In 2015, the turnover increased by 2.1 per cent, and totalled NOK 193.9 billion.
