Growth in construction turnover

The turnover in the construction industry was NOK 55.8 billion during January-February 2016. This represents an increase of 3.6 per cent from the corresponding period in 2015.

The turnover in construction of buildings amounted to NOK 22.9 billion in the 1st period in 2016. This corresponds to an increase of 5.9 per cent from the same period last year and is the area in the construction industry with the strongest growth. The turnover in civil engineering was NOK 7.1 billion in the 1st period and increased by 3.1 per cent from the 1st period in 2015 to the 1st period in 2016. The lowest growth was seen in specialised construction activities where the turnover increased by 1.9 per cent.

In the 1st period in 2016 the local kind-of-activity units in Akershus had a strong growth in turnover, with a 14.9 per cent increase. The local kind-of-activity units in Rogaland continued the decline with a fall of 11.4 per from the same period in 2015.
