Construction, new orders (discontinued), Q2 2002

From the 2^{n d} quarter last year to the 2^{n d} quarter this year the inflow of new orders on non-residential buildings increased by 6 per cent. Renovation works of this type had a rise in inflow of 33 per cent while the inflow of new non-residential building projects fell with 2 per cent.

Company reserves on residential building orders decreased by 5 per cent during the 2^{n d} quarter. Since the end of the 2^{n d} quarter last year this type of reserves fell by 7 per cent. The inflow of new residential building projects increased by 3 per cent since the 2^{n d} quarter last year.

Stable on civil engineering works

The value on company reserves in civil engineering works fell by 2 per cent during the 2^{n d} quarter of 2002. Because of a high increase the last quarter company reserves still are 19 per cent higher than at the same time last year. New orders on civil engineering works are 1 per cent higher than in the 2^{n d} quarter of 2001.
