Increase in construction company reserves
The inflow of new construction projects was stable on a high level in 2004. The value of company reserves was 16 per cent higher at the end of 2004 than at the end of 2003.
The growth in new residential projects continues. The value of company reserves of new residential buildings rose by 6 per cent in the fourth quarter of 2004, and the value was 40 per cent higher at the end of 2004 compared with the end of 2003. The value of company reserves of other buildings has been stable over the last two years, and was 4 per cent higher at the end of 2004 than at the end of 2003.
There was a considerable increase in renovation orders in 2004. At the end of 2004 the contractor reserves of renovation of residential and commercial buildings were 39 and 12 per cent higher than at the end of 2003 respectively.
The inflow of new orders for civil engineering works decreased in the second half of 2004 compared with a high level of new orders in the first the six months of 2004. Compared with the end of 2003 the value of company reserves nevertheless increased by 10 per cent.
