High inflow of new residential buildings
The inflow of new dwelling projects has increased steadily over the last year from a particularly low level in 2009. Furthermore, company reserves of new housing projects are 69 per cent higher at the start of 2011 than at the same time last year.
Compared with the low level a year before, the order reserves of residential and non-residential buildings including renovation works are 56 per cent and 17 per cent higher respectively, measured in current values.
Decrease in civil engineering works
As in the previous quarter, the inflow for new civil engineering works was low in the 4th quarter of 2010. Furthermore, the value of the contractor reserves of civil engineering works has went down to the same level as at the end of 2009, from a high level over the course of the first half of 2010.
The total reserves for the industry as a whole have increased by 16 per cent compared with the end of 2009, measured in current values.
