Construction, new orders (discontinued)Q4 2012

Statistics Norway has decided to stop the publication of the Construction, new orders from the first quarter of 2018. One reason for this was that the statistic previously was a part of Eurostat's regulation for short-term statistics, but this requirement was removed from the regulation in 2012.

The total reserve for the construction industry decreased by 2 per cent during the fourth quarter of 2012 and is 5 per cent higher at the end of 2012 than at the same time in 2011. An increasing inflow of new building projects has contributed to a moderate decrease in the fourth quarter.

The inflow of new civil engineering works increased in the fourth quarter of 2012 after a sharp decrease in the previous quarter. At the end of 2012, the value of the companies’ reserves of civil engineering works is at the same level as a year before, measured in current value.
