Sharp increase in civil engineering orders
The inflow of new orders in civil engineering increased strongly during the second quarter of 2013. The value of the reserve for the civil engineering industry was 12 per cent higher in the second quarter of 2013 than in the first.

The value of the inflow of new construction and civil engineering works was 11 per cent higher in the second quarter of 2013 than in the first, measured in current value. Civil engineering contributed to most of the growth. While the value of new construction works increased by 4 per cent during the second quarter, the value of new civil engineering projects increased by 27 per cent.
The total stock of orders in the construction industry increased by 5 per cent from the first to the second quarter of 2013. The corresponding change from the same quarter last year was also 5 per cent.
