High activity in civil engineering works

The production in civil engineering works has shown an upward trend during the last year, and is 20 per cent higher in the 3rd quarter of 2012 compared to the same period last year, according to working day adjusted figures.

From the 2nd to the 3rd quarter this year the activity in civil engineering works has increased by 3.2 per cent, adjusted for seasonal variations. The positive development in the civil engineering works can be related to a high inflow of new orders (see statistics for new orders in the construction industry ).

In the building sector, production increased by 1.5 per during the last quarter according to seasonally adjusted figures. Working day adjusted figures indicate a growth of 4.6 per cent from the 3rd quarter last year.

The total production in the construction industry has been relatively stable during the last quarter. Compared to the same quarter in 2010, the production has increased by 8.1 per cent, according to working day adjusted figures.
