More new non-residential buildings
During the first three months this year 924 100 square metres of utility floor space were started in non-residential buildings - 10.4 per cent more than during the corresponding period last year.
Of this, 691 700 square metres of floor space is industrial buildings and 232 400 square metres is holiday properties and private garages. For these two building categories there have been an increase in of 9 and 15 per cent respectively compared with the same period in 2004.
6 965 new dwellings
A total of 6 965 new dwellings are registered started during the first three months of 2004, an increase of 19.6 per cent compared to the corresponding period in 2004. The total utility floor space for these new dwellings is 861 300 square meters - an increase of 22.9 per cent compared with the same period in 2003.
