More new flats
Almost 5 per cent more building start permits were granted in the fourth quarter of 2015 compared with the third quarter of 2015, according to seasonally-adjusted figures.

For non-residential buildings, seasonally-adjusted figures show that building start permits were unchanged for utility floor space, from the third quarter to the fourth quarter last year.
8 900 new dwelling permits
In the fourth quarter of 2015, building start permits were granted for 8 900 dwellings, with a total of about 1 120 000 square metres of utility floor space. New dwellings increased by 23 per cent compared with the fourth quarter of 2014.
New flats had the greatest increase, going up by 30 per cent.
Most permits in Akershus county
The county of Akershus had the most dwelling start permits, with 1 399, followed by Hordaland and Rogaland counties with 874 and 716 respectively.
Weak decrease in industrial sector
In the fourth quarter of 2015, building start permits were granted for about 1 034 000 square metres of utility floor space within the industrial sector. This is a decrease of 3 per cent compared with the same quarter in 2014.
512 demolished detached houses
In the fourth quarter of 2015, a total of 889 dwellings were demolished, of which 512 were detached houses. For buildings other than residential buildings, 1 030 buildings in the industrial sector were pulled down, and 328 holiday homes and 1 605 private garages were demolished.
