Municipal fees up 3.2 per cent
Annual municipal residential fees rose by 3.2 per cent on average from January 2013 to January 2014. The average household pays more than NOK 10 500 for the municipal services of water, waste water, waste services and chimney sweeping/inspection.

Among the municipal charges, chimney sweeping fees increased the most. This fee rose 4.0 per cent from 2013 to 2014. Fees for water and waste water increased by 3.1 per cent and 3.5 per cent respectively. The annual fee for waste services went up by 2.1 per cent.

All figures are weighted averages, based on the total fee income reported through KOSTRA. The figures in this article are inclusive of VAT, but in KOSTRA they are reported without VAT. Some municipalities do not have or do not report figures for one or all four areas. These have been excluded from the calculation or may have imputed figures.
