Municipal fees up 1.8 per cent
Annual municipal residential fees rose by 1.8 per cent on average from January 2015 to January 2016. The average household pays almost NOK 11 000 for the municipal services of water, waste water, waste services and chimney sweeping/inspection.

Among the municipal charges, chimney sweeping and inspection increased the most. This fee rose 4.5 per cent from 2015 to 2016. Waste water fees and fees for waste services increased by 2.5 per cent and 1.3 per cent respectively. The annual fees for water went up by 0.9 per cent last year.

All figures are weighted averages, based on the total fee income reported through KOSTRA. The figures in this article are inclusive of VAT, but in KOSTRA they are reported without VAT. Some municipalities do not have or do not report figures for one or all four areas. These have been excluded from the calculation or may have imputed figures.
