Monthly change: decreased manufacturing turnover in July
Total Norwegian manufacturing turnover decreased by 1.1 per cent from June to July 2019, according to seasonally-adjusted figures. Building of ships, boats and oil platforms was the main contributor to this development. This is due to some large shipments in June.
The industry grouping refined petroleum, chemicals and pharmaceuticals together with non-ferrous metals contributed to curbing the decline in the manufacturing turnover in the period.
Monthly change: decrease in turnover in manufacturing in the euro area in June 2019
Manufacturing in the euro area decreased by 1.0 per cent from May to June 2019, according to seasonally-adjusted figures. Total turnover in Norwegian manufacturing increased by 1.2 per cent in the same period. In the other Nordic countries, Denmark and Sweden, the turnover went down 4.9 and 0.8 per cent respectively, according to Eurostat.
