Three-month change: refined petroleum products, chemical and pharmaceutical products contributed the most
Seasonally-adjusted figures showed that the turnover in Norwegian manufacturing increased 2.5 per cent from August to October compared with the previous three-month period.
The biggest contributor to the increase was the grouping refined petroleum, chemical and pharmaceutical products with an increase of 7.3 per cent. Higher prices on refined petroleum products contributed among other things to this development. The grouping has a share of 15 per cent of total manufacturing turnover. Food products also edged up, mainly due to a turnover growth in the processing of fish and fish feeds sector.
On the other hand, basic chemicals contributed the most to curb the positive development in total turnover.
