Electricity prices, Q4 2006

Total price for the whole year for electric energy and grid rent taxes included increased from 74.8 øre/kWh in 2005, to 91.5 øre/kWh in 2006.

The average price of electric energy for the service industry was 42.8øre/kWh in the fourth quarter, exclusive taxes and grid rent. This is 1.6 per cent higher than in the third quarter.

For the manufacturing industry except energy-intensive manufacturing and the pulp and paper industry, the average price of electricity was 29.2 øre/kWh in the fourth quarter. For energy-intensive manufacturing and the pulp and paper industry, the average price of electric energy was 14.1 øre/kWh excluding taxes and grid rent.

The measuring period for the fourth quarter 2006 was week number 45 (6 November - 12 November).
