Lower electricity prices for households
The price of electric energy for households was 29.3 øre/kWh in the first quarter of 2007, taxes and grid rent excluded. Total price for the whole year for electric energy and grid rent taxes included was 76.6 øre/kWh. This is 9.1 per cent lower than the first quarter last year.
The average price of electric energy for the service industry was 27.9 øre/kWh in the first quarter, exclusive taxes and grid rent. This is 17.3 per cent lower than in the first quarter last year.
For the manufacturing industry except energy-intensive manufacturing and the pulp and paper industry, the average price of electricity was 23.5 øre/kWh. For energy-intensive manufacturing and the pulp and paper industry the average price of electric energy was 16.9 øre/kWh excluding taxes and grid rent.
The measuring period for the first quarter 2007 was week number 6 (5 February - 11 February).
