Low electricity prices for households
Total price for households for electric energy and grid rent taxes included was 68.8 øre/kWh the second quarter of 2007 - the lowest price since the first quarter of 2003. The second quarter price is 10.2 per cent lower than the first quarter this year, and 23.1 per cent lower than the second quarter last year.
The price of electric energy for households was 22.9 øre/kWh in the second quarter of 2007, taxes and grid rent excluded, while grid rent was 23.6 øre/kWh and taxes 22.3 øre/kWh.
Lower price for the service industry
The average price of electric energy for the service industry was 23.1 øre/kWh in the second quarter, exclusive taxes and grid rent. This is 28.7 per cent lower than in the second quarter last year.
For the manufacturing industry except energy-intensive manufacturing and the pulp and paper industry, the average price of electricity was 20.9 øre/kWh. For energy-intensive manufacturing and the pulp and paper industry, the average price of electric energy was 15.7 øre/kWh excluding taxes and grid rent.
The measuring period for the second quarter of 2007 was week number 19 (7 May-13 May).
