Lower electricity prices for households
The price of electric energy for households was 17.6 øre/kWh excluding grid rent and taxes in the third quarter of 2007. This is a decrease of 23.3 per cent from the previous quarter and 59.7 per cent from the third quarter of 2006.
The grid rent was 23.1 øre/kWh and taxes 21.1 øre/kWh in the third quarter of 2007.
Lower price for the service industry
The average price of electric energy for the service industry was 16.3 øre/kWh in the third quarter, excluding taxes and grid rent. This is 61.2 per cent lower than in the third quarter last year.
For the manufacturing industry except energy-intensive manufacturing and the pulp and paper industry, the average price of electricity was 16.7 øre/kWh. For energy-intensive manufacturing and the pulp and paper industry, the average price of electric energy was 15.8 øre/kWh excluding taxes and grid rent.
The measuring period for the third quarter of 2007 was week 32 (6 August - 12 August).
