Small changes in production
Seasonally adjusted figures show small changes in the overall production from July to August this year. According to the weekly-adjusted figures, the total production increased by almost 1 per cent during the last 12 months.
The production in the manufacturing industries has been almost unchanged from July to August this year, according to seasonally adjusted figures. The output in food products, beverages and tobacco and basic metal industries has increased. Rubber and plastic products and basic chemicals saw a decline.
Changes in the engineering industries
Some of the engineering industries have had a slight decline from July to August, according to seasonally adjusted figures. These figures must be taken into account together due to vacation time. Seasonally adjusted figures for the last three months, show that some of the engineering industries have had a rise in their production. Electrical and optical equipment and transport equipment have had a decline.
Oil and gas extraction
The oil and gas output has had a slight increase from July to August this year. According to weekly-adjusted figures the oil and gas extraction was more than 3 per cent higher in August this year compared with the same period last year.
