Slight increase in manufacturing

The manufacturing output has increased by 0.8 per cent from August to September, according to seasonally adjusted figures. Strong increase in manufacturing of machinery and equipment as well as the increase in manufacturing of basic metals has caused this.

Manufacturing of basic metals has experienced an increase by 2.8 per cent from August to September. There is also 4.1 per cent increase in non-ferrous metals. Meanwhile, manufacturing of machinery and equipment has increased by 6.3 per cent, according to the seasonally adjusted figures. The manufacturing of transport equipment has experienced an increase from August to September, after a two-months decrease shows the seasonally adjusted figures. Manufacturing of electrical and optical equipments and publishing, printing and reproduction have increased by 1.3 per cent since August, after a drop from July to August. Manufacturing of food products remains decreasing, but weakly from August to September compared to the decrease from July to August. The decrease in manufacturing of furniture and recycling, from July to August continues, even more so from August to September, according to the seasonally adjusted figures.

Manufacturing of oil platforms and modules has increased by 2.1 per cent in the output from August to September.

Main industrial groupings

According to seasonally adjusted figures, the capital goods output has increased by 2.1 per cent from August to September, after a distinct drop from July to August. The intermediate goods output has increased by 0.2 per cent from August to September.

Consumer goods output has decreased by 0.8 per cent from August to September. This is mainly caused by a significant drop in the durable-consumer goods output, a 2.8 per cent decrease from August to September
