Less Norwegians smoke, more use snus

The trend where less Norwegians smoke daily, and more are daily users of snus continued in 2019. It is the younger part of the population who use snus, while the older part smoke.

2019 saw the continued longstanding tendency that there are less daily smokers in Norway, while there is a higher share of the Norwegian population who use snus daily.
There were 9 per cent of Norwegians aged 16-74 who smoked daily, while 14 per cent used snus according to statistics on tobacco, alcohol, and other drugs.
